Dr. Halida Dinova
Halida Dinova earned her doctorate in piano performance from Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia, and her Ph.D. in Music History from the International Researchers Program VAK Moscow. She received her master’s in piano pedagogy and performance from the Kazan State Zhiganov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, Russia, and her artist diploma in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Halida has over 20 years of teaching experience with students of all ages. Her teaching career started at the School for Young Professional Musicians in Russia for piano students ages 7 to 17. She also taught piano majors for 9 years at the Kazan State Conservatory and St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Russia. After moving to the U.S., Halida taught at the Community Music Program of the University of Akron (ages 6 to adult) and spent 8 years at the Cuyahoga Community College's Arts Prep Program at the Cleveland School of the Arts. Her students have performed in national and international competitions, as well as competitions and concerts in Ohio organized by the National Music Teachers Association and the National Federation of Musical Clubs.

Cleveland-based pianist Halida Dinova has performed and recorded with some of Europe's finest orchestras. As a piano recitalist, she has performed cycles of works by Schubert, Chopin, and Scriabin and a series of concerts of 20th-century music. A champion of contemporary works, she has presented innovative programs that include the works of Sofia Gubaidulina, Alfred Schnittke, and György Ligeti.
She has toured North and South America, Europe, and Russia, given recitals in cities such as Berlin, London, St. Petersburg, Wellington, and Auckland, chamber music concerts at Orford International Festival (Canada), Edinburgh International Festival (Scotland), Wonfurt International Festival (Germany), Sala Beethoven (Mexico).
She can be heard on the recordings made for DOREMI NAXOS, NAVONA, CHANDOS, and CANTIUS CLASSICS for which she recorded Brahms’s Second Piano Concerto with the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gustavo Plis-Sterenberg. As Donald Rosenberg wrote in The Plain Dealer, ”The Brahms performance on this recording proves that the pianist can scale the musical heights. It is bold, deeply poetic reading, marked by a technical command that many
